Ancient theatre of Dodoni
The ancient theatre of Dodoni is located near the city of Ioannina. It is one of the largest and best preserved ancient Greek theatres. The ancient theatre of Dodoni built by King Pyrrhus of Epirus in the 3rd century BC and follows the pattern that all Greek theaters. It was the largest theatre of the era with a capacity of 18,000 spectators. At archaeological site outside of the theatre there are many ancient monuments worth seeing visitors from nearby as is the Holy House, the stage and the Bouleuterion.
